• The Value of a REALTOR®

Many consumers today do not realize there's a difference in a REALTOR and a real estate agent. When someone agrees to join the National Association of REALTORS, he agrees to hold up a higher standard through a Code of Ethics that ultimately protects the consumers and fellow real estate professionals. So, why are you a REALTOR or why do you choose to work with a REALTOR? Tell me below.

Did you know REALTORS work daily to protect your home and your commercial property rights?
Every year, legislation hits the national scene that restricts property rights.  REALTORS have a full team of national advocates, volunteer and otherwise, who fly into action. As a matter of fact, it goes deeper than the national level, into the states and local areas.  For example, Nashville REALTORS educate others on the unintended consequences that some Metro Council bills have.  Many of these actions go unrecognized, because it's just part of our job.

  • WHO AM I?

    Brian Copeland

    Chief of Broker Services
Brian Copeland was the 201 President of Tennessee REALTORS®. He is the Chief Engagement Officer for VILLAGE in Nashville, Tennessee. Brian was the 2011 Nashville REALTOR® of the Year and is one of the most sought after real estate speakers in America, emceeing and keynoting some of the largest conferences in the profession. In 2014, he was named one of Inman News’ 100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders in America. In 2015, Swanepoel's T3 Reports recognized him as one of the top 10 to watch in social media.

Brian, a Golden R President’s Circle Hall of Fame RPAC investor, has served as the NAR’s chair for the Data Strategies, Young Professionals Network, and RPAC Participation Council committees after serving as the Member Services Liaison to President Steve Brown in 2015. He is a GRI instructor for the state and founded one of the largest technology camps in the country, attracting more than 1100 real estate professionals from more than 30 states.
Brian has appeared on numerous real estate television shows for HGTV and The Learning Channel. He says his favorite show so far was a one-time show he co-hosted called “The Top 25 House Hunting Tips” which aired in 2009, however some of his other episodes of “Good Buy, Bad Buy,” “House Hunters,” and “Flip That House” still air today.
Brian’s roots are in East Tennessee where he grew up in Clinton. His mom, dad, and brother all recently moved to Nashville to be closer as a family, but they were a Southern Gospel singing group from as far back as he can remember. The family toured the hills of East Tennessee with a guitar, piano, and four-part harmony. He later went to Carson-Newman University, where he started more formal training in music and communications. He completed his master’s degree at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In the late ’90s, Brian accepted a job in Nashville’s music industry to later transition into the real estate field in 2005.
Brian says he loves being a REALTOR® because it’s one of the truest portals into community service and gratitude. As a board member of Hands On Nashville, Greenways for Nashville, and Metro Nashville’s Farmers Market Commission, he is a true advocate for neighborhood issues and his city’s infrastructure. He and his spouse, Greg, founded one of the only food pantries in North Nashville, feeding more than 175 families each month. In 2014, the pantry won the Mary Catherine Strobel Volunteer of the Year Award. They live on a farm in Madison with their two children, Micah (born in 2011) and Esther (born in 2014).

    Brian's REALTOR Team

    The Nashville And Beyond Team

The Nashville And Beyond Team Site

Brian has orchestrated one of the best functioned and "well-oiled" real estate teams in Nashville. The team approach to customer service has earned them rave reviews and clients for life in the Greater Nashville area.

Brad Copeland (CRS, ABR) is a buyer’s and investor’s specialist. He was Greater Nashville's Rookie of the Year in 2012, selling more homes than any other new agent. Brad brings a strong counseling background to the team, as his previous career was as an associate pastor. He has served on the board of Greater Nashville REALTORS®, Tennessee REALTORS®' Diversity Committee and NAR's Professional Development Committee.

He’s a graduate of the University of Tennessee and has served on the RPAC/Legislative and education committee and chair of the special events committee for the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS. He’s also a graduate of the 2013 Leadership GNAR Class. In 2012, he became a very young grandfather, as his daughter and her husband gave birth to Clay. Brad’s home is in Sylvan Park with wife, Molly.

Molly Mitchell Copeland has a client base that describes her as endearing, relationship-centered, savvy and caring. Molly is a triple threat REALTOR, in that she can do it all. She’s a listing specialist, moving her listings swiftly and at top dollar through the marketplace. She’s a buyer advocate, working tirelessly to, as she would say, “exhaust every resource” to make sure inspections and negotiations end in a successful closing and happy client. Finally, Molly is a brilliant investor and developer. As the former leader of a corporation, she understands the intricacies of this often hard-to-navigate area. As her investor clients will tell you, she’s an open book of rich knowledge, especially in this realm. As you’ve noticed, Molly shares a last name with two team members as Brad’s wife and Brian’s sister-in-law. Real estate brought the family together when Brad met the love of his life in a real estate deal. It just made sense for the crew to come together!

Belinda Smith is a buyer’s specialist. She came to the real estate industry as one of the most prolific songwriters on the scene. She has garnered numerous number one songs and top industry awards. She is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in Public Relations. Belinda is a negotiations and advocacy expert, as she brings a history of social security advocacy work to the table, navigating some of the most sensitive and confidential aspects of her clients’ lives. Belinda is a resident of Donelson and just happened to be one of Brian’s buyers and sellers many years ago before being courted by him to join his team.
